An impounding notice of stock at [ Mafiainui Pound, Wataroa district, appears in this issue. The Paeroa returned to the wharf after three o’clock without any fish. An application received by the Dunedin Jockey Club from the Djefqnoe Department for the use of the grounds and buildings at Wingatui racecourse for a camp from March 5 to May 1 (inclusive) —The application, was granted subject to the supervision of the Chairman of the Works Committee. The Committee at the same time expressed the opinion that these camps were unnecessary at the present time and were interfering with the essential work-of the country.
