SHOULD PRIESTS ASSIST
LONDON, Nov. 16
In the House of Commons to-day Major R. Hunt (Unionist) asked whether in view of the number of priests supporting the Sinn Feiners, the Government would request the Vatican to prohibit their participation in the movement.
Mr. Bonar Law, speaking as Leader of the House, said that he was unaware of the circumstances referred to, and thoro were many reasons why the Government should not approach the' Vatican.
Mr. Dp Valera, M.P., the Sinn Fein leader replying to the warnings of ecclesiastics against, a conflict with constituted authority, say s there is nothing immoral in preparing to defend Ireland’s limited liberties, and securing more by arms if an opportunity for success arose.
