ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. The usual fortnightly .fixture at . the above yards took place yesterday when 68 head of fat cattle and 105 prime fat sheep were brought under the hammer. The quality of the stock was first-da'ss and competition was keen prices being well maintained. The sheep were prime and sold well.
Messrs IV. Jeffries and Co. sold on account of Mr. Jno. Died rich, 8 prime bullocks from £l4 2s fid to £l4 12s fid; 5 heifers from £l4 to £9 17s fid; 1 vealer £5 17s fid ; 1 stag £ls 15s ; 5 cows from £l3 15s to £l2.
On account of Mr. IV. H. Karnbach, 11 prime bullocks from £22 12s fid to £l7 15s. On account of Mr. J. G. Me harry 4 prime bullocks ;it £l6 17s fid; 1 extra prime heifer £l7 17s fid; 9 fat heifers from £l6 10 s to £ll 2s fid ; 2 fat cows £l4 7s fid to £l4 ss; 1 yearling steer extra: special £l2 10s. On account Mr. J Duncan 65 prime Canterbury wethers shorn, at 37s 6d. Messrs G. W. Moss and Co. sold on account of Air. Karnbach, 19 heavyweight bullocks from £l7 10s to £l2 17s fid; 3 fat heifers at £l3.
On accoqnt of Mrs Ogilvie 40 prime shorn ewes at 345.
Messrs M. Houston and Co. report as follows: —We ’held our usual fat/ Stock Sale at Arahura yesterday, the yarding consisting of 15 fat heifers, which were cleared at very satisfactory prices, the yarding not being sufficient to fill our requirements. Two very nice Hereford heifers raised on Diedrich’s station at Koiterangi realised the record price of £l7 17s fid. We sold on account of Mr. H. Diedriehs 2 heifers at £l7 17s. fid., 2 at £l4 55., 2 at £l3 2s. fid., at £l2 los. 3 at £l2 12s. fid. I at £ll 155., 2 at £ll 7s. fid., 2 (small) at £lO 2 fi.
