SURPRISE CONCERT TO-MORROW

At tho Princess Theatre to-morrow night a pleasant surprise will be given" the-local theatre going public. An impromptu concert was arranged today in aid of tho Y.M.C.A. Comforts Fu'rid for the men in the front line trenches, and the benefit will take place at. the Theatre to-morrow evening under the auspices of the Westland Patriotic Committee. Tlie performers will include the following ladies and gentlemen:—Mr. and Mr s Ivon Wilson who won such unbounded applause at last week’s send-off, and who on this occasion will render several new numbers; Mr. E. H. Short who will be heard for the first time in Hokitika ; Mr. Len Aldridge who has a reputation quite his own for dramatic recitations; Mr. Far; rar, who is well-known as a very pleasing instrumentalist. The talentec quintet above referred to will have sup erior support from other performers so that a programme of exceptiona merit will be submitted. Although the notice of the concer is short necessarily, this will not de tract from the merti s of tho entertain ment which will bo of a special am unique character, and afford the larg audience which will assemble for th worthy cause that needs support, ur hounded pleasure.
