LONDON November 4. (From Australian Files.) A sensational discovery has been made within the railing ofßegont Square Gar dens near Gray’s l nn road, of a sack containing the body of a 18 year-old girl with the head missing. There arc horrible mutilations on the body, the left hand has been cut off, and one of the legs has been practically been cut away. The body wa s wrapped in night clothes before being thrust into the sack. So far the victim has not been identified, though a scrap of paper found on the body suggests that she was a foreigner. A pair of boots fitting the victim were discovered near by. Footprints in the soft ground were also traced. There arc no signs ot a struggle at the spot nor were any sream 3 heard November 6. A butcher has been arrested in connection with the murder of the young women. IL is believed that the victim was the wife of a French soldier named Girounrd. i - (November 6. ! 'Pbo bead and bands of Madame Girounrd have been discovered in a cellar in Fitzroy square. Madame Martin whose husband wa s ■ killed in France, and Louis Voison, a • Smithfield butcher, will be charged with wilful murder to-day . It is expected that the victim’s hushand, who is a French soldier,, will be present at the inquest.
