To-morrow afternoon at 4 o’clock a matinee will be given and at 8 p.m. the season wil he concluded, when tile Henri French Novelty Company will give one of their bright and entertaining entertainments. M. French is a host in himself and some of his feats are of an astoiXiding nature. These include some hair raising shooting of a lighted -cigarette from a lady’s lips, and glass balls from the lady’s head, ears, neck and shoulders .' It is on the monowheel, however, tiiat M. French gives his most startling turns. \Vi(h a large wheel M. French does the best turn of the performance. He balances a glassg full of water on a circular piece of wood, spinning it all the time, in the right hand, juggle lS with two plates in the left hand, and all the time rides round the stage on the wheel. The whole programme is a novel and entertaining one, for which popular prices ate charged.
POLLARD’S PICTURES. Enid Bennett, the great Australian actress will be featured in the five act Triangle Play, “Happiness” to be screened by Pollard s at the. Princess Theatre on next Monday evening. Edith Bennett will be remembered for her talented work in “The Little Brother,” and in this, her latest pro- . dnetion, she repeats her triumphs. Nothing so quaintly fascinating, so full of winsome fun, and sudden touches of real pathos, has ever been screened n.s this smart story of America’s smartest snob. In “Happiness,” Enid Bennett i s supported by a cast that is one of the strongest, ever found for «i Triangle play, and includes Charles Gunn and the sturdy little artist, Thelma Salter. The plot is ingeniou s find throws some delicious fun at those alarmist, folk who see the hand of the white slaver about every girl who is out of an evening after half-past seven Many pathetic scenes occur where Enid (Bennett, just a lonely little heiress, anxious, is outsnobbed by the students. The end of the story is full of uproarious fun, and the play lias been classed as one of the finest dramas of pathos and comedy that the director Thomas Ince, has produced. Another Triangle feature i s screened in the supporting, Keystone farce comedy, “The Male Governess.”
