SECRET DOCUMENTS FOUND

The Secret iServfce has /published two seized Sinn Feiners documents. ’One is an offioial account of the June 19th. uprising. It says “There is existing an agreement with Germany that if the course of the war allows it. she will establish an independent Ireland.”

SINN FEIN MEETING

HELD SECRETLY AT A\ r ATERFORD

Large contingents of police and soldiers arrived at AYaterford on Saturday to enforce the prohibition of the Sinn Fein meeting.

Valera and Griffiths arrived in the evening. Cliowels bf local volunteer Boy Scouts, and members of the Si* lll F’ei'n Club, welcomed them, loudly, cheering the leaders. A procession was formed many carrying thick sticks. The police prevented groups of R.edmondites from rushing Valera in the procession. Tlie meeting was held secretly during a rainstorm in the afternoon, three miles outside of the city. Six hundred Irish volunteers attended, having outwitted the police by taking various; routes. Only ten policemen were atthe meeting.

Valera in a characteristic speech said they only wanted arms to make Ireland free.
