The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Spring Meeting was concluded in brilliant weather, with a large attendance. The tote handled £46,326, making £l4l Mo TOs for the meeting, against £175,697 for the four days last year. Results:

Great Northern Guineas: —Vagabond 1, Bonham 2. Ratlilin 3. Won pulling up by five lengths. Time 1.40. Hobson Handicap:— Meltonio 1, Fabriquetto 2, Si-op T. Won comfortably by two lengths. Time 1.17 2-5. Welcome Stakes:—lnformal 3, Hinomaru 2, Shining Light 3. Won easily by half a length. Time 1.2. City Handicap:—Mullinger 1, Tontore 2. Chortle and Sir Ralph a dead heat, 3.
