CONTEXT . SCHOOL CONCERT

St. Patrick’s Convent School, Ross, held their annual concert 'last Friday evening. There was a large attendance. The following is the programme :

Opening chorus, “Come to the Woodlands,” Girls; “ Welcome,” Master Jim Houlahan; song, “When Shall the Day Break in lErin,” Misses I. Goad and M. Moore; chorus, Boys; vocal solo, “Anzac Day,” -Miss Goad ; chorus, “Come .Little Leaves,” Girls; speech, Master Tom Houlahan; vocal solo, “A Little Pink Rose,” Miss B. Evans; action, song, “Little Dairy Maids,” Misses Moore, Goad, T. Roach, M. Roach, Chapman and Adamson; enorus ißoys; vocal solo, Mr wan Rolk-. vocal solo, “The Red Cross,” Miss Bella Evans; song, “Our Khaki Daddy,” Masters Parker, F. Houlahan and F. Moore” ; action song, “Four Modest Quakeresses,” Misses K. Herbert, May Moore, Irene Goad and Bella. Evans. A sketch - entitled, “A Quiet Nap,” by masters J, Houlahan, W. Cunniffe, Jack Chapman, Robert Parker and Thomas Cuniffe was much enjoyed, and concluded the first part, of the programme.

’ Part ll.—Chorus, “Tim A.N.Z.A.C.,” Boys; vocal solo, Mr Dan Roberts; “Our Clowns,” Masters Tom Houlahan and Arthur Parker; a comedy entitled “An Awkward Predicament.’ Those taking part were Miss B. Evans, Miss K. Herbert, Miss Winnie. Wright, Miss Irene Goad, Miss Muriel Adamson and Miss Thelma Roach. This concluded the entertainment. The Sisters are to be congratulated, the success of the concert being due to tliem in their efforts to bring the young performers up to such a high standard. The accompanists were Misses Evans. Move, and Adamson. An enoyable dance was held after the entertainment, and a. splendid supper was provided. The music was in tin' Viands of Mrs Wickes and Mr Foster.
