CANADA'S PART.
TO CONSORT EH" WEALTH. 1 [pep. press association.-—copyright.) [Received. This Dav at 8.50. a.m.' OTTAWA, Nov. 5. Sir Wilfred Laurier has outlined his platform, which -includes a Military Service Act to carry out the expression of the majorities’ desire. He favours conscription, ‘not. only of soldiers, but of wealth and resources, which would otherwise be militarily exempt, enabling Canada to conduct her splendid part in the war until the end. Other items favoured by him are tariff reform, removing t-o increases since the begin-: oing of the war, drastic control of food supplies and prices, and elimination of profiteering. Sir Wilfred Laurier in an election manifesto, said the fundamental objection to the existing Military Service Act was that it does not conscript wealth, while it does consoript human life. If returned to power he would do his utmost to mobilise Canadian resources for wa* purposes.
