COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS.
THE NOMINATIONS. / WESTLAND COUNTY. Nominations for the above closed at noon to-day. In eight ridings the sitting members were Ire turned unopposed as follows: Dillmans Riding—Mr J. A. Murdoch, Stafford Riding—Mr T. W. Duff. Araliura Riding—Mr R. Ward. Kauieri Riding—Mr R. Wells. Koltatahi Riding—Mr H. Norman. 'lbtara Riding—Mr T. W. Bruce. Okuru Riding—Mr. J. Grimmond; Okarito Riding—Mr. S. G. Ferguson. For the Bunn Riding, Messrs A. Clifton and E. A. Wells have been nominated, and the contest for the seat will take place on the 14th inst.
WESTLAND CHARITABLE BOARD. Tho following six members have been returned unopposed to represent the Westland County on tho above Board: John Cameron, Arahura. Geo. Davidson, Hokitika. Louis H. Morel, Koiterangi. Jas. A. Murdoch, Kumara. Henry Norman, Koiterangi. Henry Williams, Hokitika. Messrs J. Grimmond, A. Hutchison and R. Wild, who were nominated also, retired to avoid the cost of an election to the rate-payers. GREY COUNTY. The following nominations were received yesterday to represent the Grey County:— ELECTED UNOPPOSED. . Cobden —Mr. John Ryall. Briinnerton —Mr. James P. Irvine Nelson Creek—Air. P. Donnellan. Paroa—Air. M. Hannan. Maori Creek—Afr. Adam Blair. CONTESTED NOMINATIONS. Waipuna-*-Messrs Daniel Baybutt, and William Clayton. Red Jacks—Alcssr s George R. Hudd, Jeremiah AlcCarthy and Noel Peat. Alarsden—Afessrs Horace J. Grant, and John J. Greaney. Hohonu —Alessrs Arthur Robinson, and Patrick Ryder. , GREY HOSPITAL BOARD.
The following were elected unopposed : Messrs M. Hannan, Jeremiah McCarthy,/ and Patrick Ryder.
