The Council met at 2.30. p.m. It was decided to ask for a further conference with the House on the Aim endments i n the Sale of Liquor restrictions Bill, on clauses 4d and 4e., in regard to persons found on licensed premises after hours, and the definite of licensed premises. The conference will he held at the supper adjournment. The Council resumed at 8.15. p.m.
The Shops and Offices Bill, passed hv the House was reported on by the Statutes Revision Committee, with inconsiderable amendments. After a brief discussion, a motion to report progress was carried. The Legislative . Council by 13 to 3 agreed to the report of the conference on in the Sale of Liquor Restriction Bill, the chief of which allowed liquors to be sold between 6 and 8 p.m. with a substantial meal, on hotel or club premises in rooms where the regular evening, meals were served.
