The Courtcil decided to adhere to its amendment in Sale of Liquor Restrictions Bill,, and apointed managers to meet, managers of the House. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. native land. The Native Land Amendment and Native Land claims Adjustment Bill. (Hon. /Homes) was introduced, and ’■and a first time, and referred to the Native Affairs Committee. ELECTRICAL POWER. The Minister of Public Works gave notice of his intention to introduce a State Supplv Electrical Energy Bill. WOMEN'S HOURS. The House went into committee on Shop and Offices Amendment Bill to reduce the hours worked by women and girls in hotels, restaurants and refreshgirls in hotels, reaturants and refreshment rooms. Mr. Hindmarsh, who introduced the Bill accepted an amendment from Government that wojnen and girls must cease work in such places at 10.30 p.m. unless sleeping aronrnmods lien was provided on the premises. If sleeping accommodation were provided, the working hours after 10.30, must not aggregate more than 75 per year. The Bill nnssed in that form. OTHER BILLS PASSED. The Hi<tt Road Aiinodmont Bill passed with minor amendment Progress wqs reported on the Industrial OeeßSa*' ’ ' Amendment Bill. The Shops and Offices and Hutt Road were read a third time and passed The Hops© rose at 12.3 Q p.m.
