The New York Sun’s Washington correspondent, reports that the British authorities at Halifax intercepted a bag of dispatches from Sweden. These are now held at .Washington.The Swedish Minister pressed fojr their release, hut ho was informed that he must agree to disclose the contents thereof. A deadlock has arisen and the correspondent predicts sensational disclosures.

America’s expenditure is the highest, Britain’s is second, and Germany’s third. An authoritiatiye statistical estimate of the total cost for August 1918 is 155 billion dollars.
