ROIL Of HONOR.
Mr. August Eggling, the well-known settler of Okuru, South Westland, has been advised that his second son, Private Henry Eggling of the 14th. Reinforcements, had died of wounus on October 3rd. The deceased was a native of South Westland and about 21 years of ago. lie was a fine specimen of South Westland’s manhood and his loss will ho generally ueplored. Mr. Fred Eggling of Hokitika is an unde, uud Mrs. Nisson of Hokitika is a grandmother. Very sincere sympathy will be extended to the l>ereaved parents and relatives. An elder brother, William, is also at the front .
