The drama is a modern version of ‘‘The Bake’s Progress.” dim Blake is the son of a millionaire and his good times ot carousing are suddenly cut short, and he ij!. thrown on his own resources. Ho promptly goes out \\ ost to a poorly paying ranch of his lathers, beaming that the ranch has certain unpaid claims against a railway company, lie boards the. president, who throws him and the claims out. dim later rescues both Maynard’s daughters and falls in love with Alice. .Spurred on liv her, he lights to make good, find eventually realises enough to return to his lather and prove that he has made good. His affair of the heart, however, does not progress so smoothly. Alice’s sister, jealous of the love between Alice and dim destroys the letters between the sweethearts, loading each other to believe the other faithless. But upon dim’s return to the city everything is straightened out, and despite the ob'ection of Alice’s father, the two happy young people run away and arc married with the blessing of Jim’s father, now proud of his successful son. President Alayuafd cannot remain long without his ■ respect for the splendid young man who lias so cleverly beaten him, and eventually he joins m blessings on the young people. The star drama is supported by the Triangle Keystone comedy. “Never Mind.”

The . management of Peerless Pictures are pleased to announce that on Tuesday evening they will present the unique photo-play “The Woman in 47,” a sensational drama in which the eminent star Alice Brady plays the leading role. She is considered as America’s greatest screen artist. The picture is by that great master producer Daniel Frohman which is released through the "World Film Coy. ami is of more than usual brilliance as there is not a dull inch in the five big reels. The story is that of a young and beautiful Italian girl, who escapes from the tyranny of a cruel uncle, goes to America to meet and marry her lover, and passe s through a series of adventures which combine to make one of the most thrilling and absorbing photo dramas ever shown oil the screen before the filial happy ending. Love honest and pure, as well as illicit and sensuous, falls to her lot. Unconsciously and unintentionally she exorcises a wonderful, almost weird, fascination over every man who sees her, and death and disaster follow in the train of efforts to encompass her ruin. Tn the end she emerges triumphant in the steadfast affection of her boyhood companion. The programme is of the usual high standard while the Tuesday night orchestra will lie in attendance and will dispense new music which will add to the charm of the evening.
