WEIR —M’WHIRTER
At St. Paul’s Church Christchurch this week Miss Alice M’Whirter, young est daughter of Mrs fL M’Whirter, Christchurch, and formerly of Goldsborough, was quietly piarried to Captain N. M. Weir, N.Z.S.C.. Featherston, son of Mr. nad Mr fi J. Weir, Heathcofe Valley. The church was decorated for the occasion by girl friends of the bride. The Rev. J. Paterson performed the wedding ceremony and Mr Raynor Whit© presided at the organ. The bride wore a simple white crepe de chine igown, and carried a bridal bpquet She was attended by her sister Miss Jessie W’Whirter, who wore a dainty floral voile with r white background and tiny primroses. She wore ft black A Eat trimmed v.i'b primroses.’ Little Rana M’Donall. in a pretty white silk , frock, made a charming flower girlThe best man was Captain D. Bryan of the N.Z. Staff Corps.. Both the bridegroom .and beat man left Now Zealand with the. Main Body and fought at Gallipoli. Captain We»r Rn d Mrs. Weir leave sbort.lv for Featherston where they will reside.
