A REWARD FEND. [pur. PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT.] SYDNEY. Sept. 27th. The “Sun” has opened a reward fund in connection with the Port Kemlila explosion. Several business houses are contributing. PORT KEMBJ.A ENQUIRY. WELLIXOTON. Sept. 27. At the Port Keitihla Enquiry the first ami second officers testified that the explosion was manifestly internal and was as violent as if the vessel had struck' a mine or had been hit by torpedo. Pair of the lire hatch was blown off. The second officer (Mr. Clmrton) said tint the fumes alter the explosion were very dark with an acid taste. They made him sick. Alter the explosion lie. got into the boat. The chief engineer (Mr. Watt) who was on the Port Kenihla when she was torpedoed and other members <>f the crew, who had been in the torpedoed ship, declared that the explosion occurred internally.
