Private William Ait ken, of Westport, nephew of Mr. A. Aitken of Hokitika hps been wounded in action jn France. Ho enlisted at 19 years of age and sailed last December.

The Base Records have advised Airs. Souter that her son Paddy was admitted to hospital in France between 22nd. and 27th. August suffering from burns severe.
