Baron Ishi in a speech said America’s entrance into the war was a great moral victory for the Allies, and will strengthen the Allies great struggle against the insane German despoiler of civilisation. America and Japan are as one in their national aims and determin ation to crush Kaiserism. Japan had not entered the war for personal ambi-t-ions, but because she believed in the righteousness of the cause.

Admiral Sims reported to the Navy Department that the work of the American destroyers in the U. boat zone, is of the most satisfactory. The F. boats are less effective than they were two months ago.
