RUSSIANS RAID BLACK SEA. LONDON, Aug. 28. Russian official: Co-operating with the fleet we raidod a port on the Black Sea. The enemy fired from hospitals. We destroyed the official buildings and blew up eleven motor boats and seven feluccas.
MOSCOW CONFERENCE,
[AUSTRALIAN & N.Z. CABpE ASSOCIATION] PETROGRAD, Aug. 27. Sunday’s meetings at Moscow were devoted to a discussion on Mi Kerensky’s speech cabled yesterday, by the separate conierences and various parties. The discussions disclosed little igns of agreement among the parties. Two thousand five hundred delegates at tended tho full conference which opened to-day. A DANGEROUS MOVEMENT. LONDON, :Aug. 27. Asr. Wilfon wires from Moscow that the Soldiers’ and Workmen’s decision against any strike demonstration, or interference with tne conference proved to be insufficient ■ to cope with the Bolshevids who engineered a strike on the tramways, and in the arsenals and" factories, even among the waiters in hotels and restaurants. Hundreds of members of the conferenco hqd to go without breakfast. .The Bolshevids are opposed to the conference and are openly defying authority. Unfortunately the Government neither has tho force nor ,the authority to checkmate the movement which if successful in interrupting the conference will seize the Government in its own hands.
