The police charge 11. Bearing, flaxmiller of Waitaha, with employing an unregistered reserbist, T. O’Rourke. The charge was admitted, a fine of £25 and costs being inflioted.

J. Man era (Mr Bruce) hand-sawing and timber-splitting warrant.—Adjourned for report. Stuart and Chapman (Mr Bruce) sawmill license and five reservations.— Granted subject to declaration being filed, except for No. 5 reservation, which, being objected to by H. Butlanu (Mr Sellers), was withdrawn, costs 23s being allowed objector. Same, water race.—Adjourned.
