GREY JUNIOR'S DEFEAT’.
HOKITIKA
Tim Grey mouth Star Juniors met flic local senior Cadets on Cass Square on Satnrdav afternoon, when the visitors recorded a win' by 11 points (three tries and a goal) to nil. 'The visitors were much heavier and should have done even better than they did against their lighter opponents. In the first half Brown scored at tlie corner after a good run. The kick failed. This was tlm only score in this half, the play being mostly of a forward nature and fairlv even. T,i the second half,-from a scrum near the goal line Reynolds scored between the posts and .Walton converted. King also scored an easy try through a had kick by a local three-quarter. For the visitors Walton and Reynolds were the best hacks, and Flanagan the best forward. . ?or the local team, Stopforth. and Stapleton, and Valentine, were the best backs, and Stopforth and McDonald shaped well i» the forwards Air Cut-bush ably controlled the game.
