The Chamber of Deputies voted confidence in the Government by 395 votes to 70.
M. Ribot in a speech proceeding the vote, replying to M. (Renaudei u request to allow Socialists to go to Stockholm, said: We wish for an honourable peace, not a peace which will make us slaves. Peace is only obtainable by a victory, and. is unobtainable by conferences. We do not think the Socialist Conference at Stockholm can effect the sort of peace required. The Socialist,.
