TUESDAY “FANNY WARD.” A special Five act Lasky star “'Betty To The Rescue” which features Fanny Ward the talented actress of the “Cheat” will head the all new display to he presented at the Opera House on Tuesday night- The story is of the Californian goldfields where John Kdawood and Constance Slier win control the mine while Betty Sherwin is an in* mate, of the Boarding School. She retiirng home to find that the mine is apparently worthless, and failure of the oranwe crop makes matters worse. John proposes t° Betty and is rejected. Betty has a vision of ..gold pouring from the mine and communicates her experience to the employees.. The boys salt the mine and Betty is delighted at< the supposed find. She learns of the joke and decides to try her luck at gambling. She loses her stake and one Fleming takes her in his arms and asks her fo be his wife just as Kenwood outers. A strniige nugget within Betty’s stake arouses curiosity within Fleming. who learns that- it came from Betty’s mine His conspiracy with the keeper is discovered. Kenwood is rewarded with Hetty’s love and their happiness made complete.
