WAR IN THE AIR.
ANOTHER AIR RAID. ON ESSEX COAST. rAUSTRALIAN & N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION*] LONDON, July 22. Official: A squadron of between fifteen and twenty-one aeroplanes ap- ; proached Felixtowo and Harwich at 8 o’clock this morning and dropped bombs. Our heavy anti-aircraft fire caused th© formation to split part returning overseas and part proceeding southward along the Essex .coast. They were constantly engaged by gun-fire and proceeded homeward without dropping more bombs. Our aeroplanes pursued the raidera cut to sea heavily engaging them, but visibility was low ana observat'°n difficult. Eight people were killed and twenty five injured at Felixstowe ana Harwich. ONE' RAIDER DOWNED. LONDON. July 22. . The Press Bureau states: Th© air raid casualti© 3 total eleven killed and twenty-six wounded.. Th© damag Is insignificant. Th Flying Corps Patrol engaged the raiders returning to Belgium and brought one into the sea.
