FOUND DROWNED.

WEI .L-KNOWN <GR EY FOOTBALLER. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) FOXTON, July 14. Joseph McKay, aged 38 years of age was found drowned in the ALinawafu River near Foxton, at about ~> o’clock this evening. • His relatives reside-in Grey-mouth. Deceased was at one time connected with the Bank of New Zealand, on the West Coast and in Wanganui, and was'a well-known athlete. The deceased is the fourth sod of the late Andrew and Airs AleoKny of High Street, Greyniouth. He was educated at the Grey District High School, and joined the Bank of New Zealand at Grevmoutli as a cadet. He made good progress in the bank’s, employ and was theni removed to the North Island. He afterwards left the bank and took up other employment. “Joe” was...well respected here, ana was a fine footballer ,and played many a sterling game on Victoria Park. He -married Afiss Drumm, also well-known in Greyniouth.
