rAUSTRALIAN A- N.Z. CAIILE ASSOCIATION] LONDON, July 11th. j East Africa Official: On the enemy’s right flank a detachment- north-west of fvilwa retreated from Lunya to Mayonga. Simultaneously, our troops got in contact with his centre at Lkuli. Our forces on the 7th converged in three columns on Myonrefi, Kemamba Hilf, and Wungwi against the Germans on the front frof Ukuli to Mayonga. All our columns were successful in difficult country. The maximum advance was thirteen miles. I Another column drove back the enemy across the Ruipa River, establishing themselves between an enemy detachment at Mofua and the main position, further north of Rei^uju. Our forces pressedoack the Germans at the road, enveloped tho reargaurd,, and drove it northwards towards Maliengo. A column of West Africans advanced without opposition 35 miles from the Rufiji River in the direction of*Miaswoga.
