THREE MACHINES DESTROYED

-WELLINGTON, July 6. The Higii Commissioner reports from London July 4. at 1.15. p.m. Th 0 Admiralty announces that naval aircraft from Dunkirk intercepted the hostile squadron returning from the Belgian coast. 1 Two hostile machinos were brought down and a third damaged. .. Several other machines- were attacked with indecisive results. Ours are all safe.

THE RAID CASUALTIES

LONDON, July 4

Tli« Press Bureau states: The latest casualties in today’s air raid are eleven killed and thirty-six injured.

Only two bombs fell in Harwich itself. An aerial torpedo broke windows. Matoy bombs fell in the marshes. The British aviators quickly dosed with the enemy and excitng duels were witnessed. One British machine engaged two of the enemy’s pursuing them far out to sea. It was a tip-and-run attack with a minimum of military results.

GERMAN NERVES-

'LONDON, July 5.

The fact that the dir raiders did not attempt a sustained nttaok is an indication that the German pilots were suffering from nerves, originating in the disasters of the recent raids. But for a parting‘bomb, which canoed the casualties, the Harwich raid would have been the most innocuous yet attempted.
