STATEMENT IN COMMONS.

In the Commons, Hon. Bonar Law said Government will compensate tho dependents of victims of the air raids retrospectively and prospectively. Ho announced that hitherto there were 380,000 National Service Volunteers , hence industrial compulsion was not contemplated.

THE HAGUE, June 28th. 1 Queen Wilhelmina, at the opening of Parliament said that the defence of Dutch territory and colonies would be 'her-special care. Tho relations with foreign powers were favourable but, they must remember that as long as tho war lasted dangers menaced Holland and her people and she might yet be called on to use force for her defence, liberty, end independence. “I pray that God will preserve us from that.”
