ROIL OF HONOUR.

Mr Win. . Campbell, of Dawson street, Reefton received word on Friday night that his son, Captain Bert Campbell,' had been wounded on June 1 5th. Captain Campbell has seen I about two years’ service, leaving Now Zealand as lieutenant, and gaining Ilia promotion on active service. Superintendent Ryan, of the Greymouth Fire Brigade, has been notified that his son, Privat 0 Francis Ryan, was killed in action on June 16th. Thp, late Private Ryan left with the 11th Reinforcements, and had been twelve months in the trenches. He was tho eldest; son of Superintonut-in. and Mrs Ryan, and was only 21 years of age. Ho was a native of Groymouth, and was educated at the Marist Brothers School. He was of a genial and 1 unassuming disposition, and a general favourite.

Gunne rßobert B. Shepherd, second son of Mr and Mrs Patrick Nimmo

Shepherd, of Invercargill, and for many years most, highly respected residents of Recfton, has been,killed in action: Gunner Shepherd enlisted with tho 7th Reinforcements from Auckland, wher e he was a school teacher of much promise, and his death in action at the age of 27 years will he heard of with much regret by all who knew him and his parents. The deceased soldier was a native of Recfton, being a nephow of the late G. B. Shepherd.
