The Sinn Fein demonstration for the released prisoners lasted till mid-niglit. Two persons sealed the walls around the Post. Office and tied the Sinn Fein flag on the arm of the Statue of Liberty over (the portico. The demonstrators sang; “Who dares to speak of Easter week?” The nolice entered'the building and a revolver shot was heard. The crowd dispersed and paraded later in O’Connell Street. They destroyed fencing and tore down the recruiting posters. Two of the demonstrators were arrested.
