SPECIAL DISPLAY. —TUESDAY • The star picture in the new piogramme to ho presented at McLean’s to-night is eiitited “The Chain Invisible” a big five part drama by the Manhattan l Company “Bruce Me R-ae “the man” is an actor of strong personality and versality, and Miss Gerda' Holmes, “the woman” ns clever and convincing. In fine clothes or rags in social life or as the old woman on the island dancing or swimming she is equally charming and impressive. The story relates how a strong willed man and a discontented society butter- 1 fly are marooned on an island anu 1.0.. ! they are bound by chains of fate, fear welding the last link into the invisible chain of lovo. 1 Building an altar of fire as symbol of their love, the two islanders plight j their troth to each other and in tune j the chain is made even stronger by the | advent of the “Litte Flame” the child of their love. How civilisation claims •them again and how sorrow and parting are their lot for many years till they are reconciled, once more in a fine climax makes a truly interesting stor.v of primitive love and deep human interest-. 7 The sixth episode of the wonderful story of the occult “The Mysteries or Myra” heads the supports and features .Jeanu Sot. hern and Howard Eastabrook and will be found to-be bristling with sdiusatflonal incidents. The Full, Orchestral Band will be present to dispense the latest musical successes. , POLLARD’S PICTURES. j THURSHAY EVENING. On Thursday evening next at the Princess Theatre the double star bill, “Reggie Mixes In” a triangle romance featuring Douglas Fairbanks and ißessie Love, and Billie 'Burke in “Caught by the Tremenoles,” the second chapter of “Gloria’s Romance” will be presented by Pollard’s Pic- j tures.. Douglas Fairbanks has boon j nicknamed the “tornado of the | screen” for the many experiences he, has gone through as a film actor, but | in “Reggie, l Mixes In” lie caps all as the chucker-out in Gallagher’s saloon, and he keeps his sunny smile going under the .most difficult conditions. This Triangle drama is a good one, 1 with a pretty love-story full of . flashes of romance. Bessie Love is ! sweetly pretty as the heroine, and with Douglas Fairbanks is responsible for the groat success that “Reggie . Mixes In” has met with everywhere In addition to the star picture the Second Chapters of Billie, Burke in Gloria’s romance will ,be screened entitled' “Caught by the Tcminolos”. In this chapter we see Gloria captured bythe “Teniinoles Indians” by whom she is held captive. The fight and the rescue by Doctor Boyce are well told.
