THE SHIPPING FUSION
DUNEDIN, Juno 13

the Australasian shareholders in the Union Company have accepted the proposal as to the fusion of tlie company’s interests and those of the P. and O. by a decisive majority. The final decision, of course, will be- determined at Home, but in view of the cablo message reporting that the majority of tlie British shareholders of the Union Company approved practically unanimously of the amalgamation, it is almost beyond a doubt that, the fusion will be' effected.
