REDUCTION OF RACING.

y A meeting is to be held at Greymouth to-night to act upon the following telegram sent to the Greymouth Metropolitan Club by the President of the N.Z. Racing Conference .

"Please appoint without deTaWrve members of your Committee to sit with the live district delegates to your District Committee as a 1 listrict Committee for arranging a reduction of one-third of the days of racing within

your district.” The agreement between Government and the Racing authorities with regard to the reduction of racing is as follows : (1) The reduction to lie one-third of the days of racing within the Dominion for the period of the wat. (2) This reduction to be applied pro rata within each Aterropolitan District. (3) The District Committees to decide which days of racing within their respective District shall bo discontinued. -r / (4) The District Committee for this purpose to consist of the DisTricfc j delegates and of five members of the .
