The Commissary representing the Government has left the island, which is entirely in the hands of the revolutionary troops. JAPAN WARNS RUSSIA. NEW YORK, June 6. The “New York Times” Washington correspondent has learned that Japan has informed the Russian Government that if Russia withdraws Japan in consultation with Great Britain will consider what measures she shall take She is determined to stand by the Allies until Germany is defeated and warns Russia that by a separate peace she will become helplessly under German domination Anglo- Japanese diplomats in Petrograd are believed to bo convinced that the Provisional authorities! will stand fast but the danger lies in the ignorant masses clamouring for bread who are ready for plunder and anarchy. Japan does not claim interest in Europe, but realises that Russia’s decision will affect the situation . RUSSIA’S LOAN. PETROGRAD, June 6. Subscriptions to the Liberty Loan total a millard roubles. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Petrograd correspondent is of tho opinion that the loan will be a comparative failure forcing the Government to make a huge issue of bank-notes.
