A Substantial incraasa , The following is the allocation of the Charitable Aid levy for the carrent year on the estimates adopted by the Board on Tuesday night : Local Body Annual Monthly £a£ » d Westland County 26b2 10 221 17 6 j Hokitika Borough 913 0 ‘76 1 8 Kumara Borough 107 15 819 7 Boss Borough 86 16 7 4 7 ' - 1 1 ~ "*”*"* I £3770 0 314 3 4 ' In connection with the levy the \ Board adopted also the following resolution : “That the Minister of Hospitals and Public Health bs requested to send the Inspeotor-Geeeral of Ho - pitale or other repf o<nible ofßctr to assist the Biard in reducing the cost of administering hospital and charitable institutions in Westland, and the Board pledge it.-elf to adopt tre recommendation agmd to with him, and that ia accordance with Sectiou 42 of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, the levies on contributory loe.il bodies be adjusted aceordingly,”
