Annual Meetings of Householders.
At Stafford. (Our Own Correspondent.) The annual meeting of Householders was held at the School Room on Monday evening. The following gentlemen were nominated and the voting was as follows:—B Lyons ... ... 22 W. Mitchell 22 F. Martini ... ... 19 W. Biacuraun ... 17 J. Meriwether ... 17 W. Bernhardt ... 17 W. Ronthan ... 15 Mr W. Bernhardt drew out, and the first five were declared duly elected for the ensning term.
At Woodstock
(From a Correspondent.)
Th 9 annual meeting of householders was held in Woodstock Schoolroom on Monday, April 30tb, at 7.30 p.m, Mr D. Kelly presiding as Chairman. The minutes of the previous annual meeting ware read and confirmed. The Secretary, in presenting the annual report, dwelt upon different works carried oat at the school. Qe also read a statement disclosing the fact that the tchool still retained its high place of excellence, reflecting great credit on the teaching staff, Mention was also made of the regular attendance of scholars. The repoit also mentioned the patriotic zeal in which the school and staff entered into, in connection with entertainments on bebaif of the soldier boys, the lait entertainment realising £l3 15/, which provided comforts for the expupils of Rimu and Woodstock eoldiei s at the front. Tho Committees action in regards the selling cf the Woodstock residence was reviewed and necessary works for the ensuing twalva months were also outlined. Kelly (Chairman), J. A. Stoop (Hon, Sec. and Treasurer), E. A. Wells, A. Cl-fton and F. Willoughby.
