WESTLAND A & P. ASSOCIATION

The ordinary meeting of the above Association was held at the Public •Hall, Kokatahi, on Saturday last, Mr L. Morel (President) occupying the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed and correspondence dealt with as follows: From Marlborough A. and P. Association, ashling for support of their representative on the Board of Agriculture. —Received; reply sent that the Asso-ciation-had already given its support to the Nelson delegate. From W. Kelly, P. Coyle and M. A. O’Brien offering to lease the Hall Reserve •of 6 acres. The tender of Mr W. Kelly was accepted for a term of five years with right of renewal for a., further term of five years, lessee to keep all fences in repair and keep clown noxious weeds. iA resolution was unanimously carried supporting the National Government in any steps it may deem necessary in the settlement of the present industrial trouble, and a telegram to that effect was despatched to the ActingPrime Minister (Sir James Allen). It was resolved to expend a sum of £2.5 in repairing the exterior of the Public Hall, the work to be proceeded with at once under Mr Morel’s directions. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
