OKARITO FORKS SALE. The autumn fixture at the above yards was held on Thursday last, when a heavy yarding of cattle (mostly fat) and 176 sheep were yarded. Competition for the store lots was particularly good and prices recorded were equal to late sales. Mr M. Patrick’s entry of fat cattle were a fine line, and though in some cases did not reach the owner’s reserve, they were nevertheless worthy of better demand. One hundred and twenty head were penned. Owing to the Waiho being in flood no store sheep were yarded. > The following prices were recorded: Sheep.—Fat and forward, all told 176 at 26s 3d. Cattle.—Fats, two-year and two and a half year heifers to £10 v 7s 6d and £ll 10s.. Line of fresh two-year heifers at £O, one at £B. Cows £8 to 10s. One steer at £l4 2s Gd. Seven from £6 to £l2. Line of twenty-two 9 and 2| year steers at £9 4s. Eighteen 2 to 2i year heifers passed at £lO Twelve fat cows passed at £9 10s. Dry cows sold from £o los to £7 10s. A'RAIIURA FAT STOCK SALE. The usual fortnightly fixture at the above yards took place on "Wednesday last. The yarding comprised 66 fat sheep, 38 fat cattle and 4 pigs. Competition was anything but brisk and several head were passed. In view of the coal strike buyers were not at nil disposed to operate, and procured only hajid-to-mouth supplies. Sheep sold well. Messrs Sprot,«Jeffries and Co. soui as follows: Sheep.—For Mr T. Harris, 24 fatewes at 28s; for Mrs Moynilian 34 fat ewes at 33s 3d and 8 ditto (small) at 24s 9d. Cattle.—For Mr D. C. Finch, two steel's at £7 10s, one at £9 7s fid, one heifer at £6 7s Gd, cow and calf at £G 17s 6d, ditto at £8 7s Gd; for Mr H. Died rich, fifteen bullocks from £ll is Gd to £l4 ss; for Mr C. Berwick, threo bullocks from £9 to £l2, two cows at £4 17s 6d, one stag at £7 os.
