COPENHAGEN, April 23. Twenty thousand Stockholm wor*«>,'» participated in a demonstration outside Parliament House.
The Premier promised the deputation that the food situation would improve after completing negotiations with England. The crowd was orderly, but there were ocasdonal cries for a revolution and a republic. There were similar demonstrations and strikes’ in several other towns in Sweden. The military participated in some cases. A Socialist newspaper has published a secret order instructing two regiments to be in readiness day and
night. An entire regiment struck owing u» the small bread ration. Two divisions have been deprived of arms and ammunition.
Serious outbreaks are threatened for the Ist May.
