Drastic Retrenchment.
In this issue the Railway Department set out in detail the drastic curtailment of tbe train services commincing on Thursday. It will bo noted that there will be only one train to Greym.nth a,Ld Ross on Monday, none to or from Eos* on Taes y, no trains in or cut of Hokitika on Wednesdays, cne train out and in to Hokitika from Grey and none to or from Ross on Thursdayp, one from Grey to Ross and return on Fridays and one train to and from Grey to Hokitika on Saturdays.
