Probably it will be weeks before the decision is reached in the present mighty battle, though the strategic effects are already considerable. The Matin Eaya General Hiudenburg, who was preparing to a-tack Riga and Italy has been forced to frantically rush his troops westwards.
Marcel Hutin describes an episode of the French occupation of the southern elopes of Moron Vjliers, which was regarded as impregnable, compelling the Crown Prince to bring up 200,000 reserve’, but the second German position waa carried in the face of a most desperate resistance. ‘ Time after time the eoemy counter attacks were decimated.
