WELLINGTON, April 7. The High Commissioner reports from London on 6th April as follows:—French Night Official. —In AVe stern Argonne the enemy attacked with liquid flames, hut were repulsed by our barrage lire, leaving dead and prisoners. Between our lines north-westwards of Itheims the Germon attack picviously mentioned was made by numerous troops specially brought for the assault to drive us out of the lore bank of the Aisnc canal, but it completely failed. On a front of 2500 metres on the light bank of the Meuse and Hill 304 the enemy suffered heavy losses. An afternoon communique says: North-east of Itheims our counter attacks and grenade fire enabled us to progress, re-oecupyingg new elements and trenches.
