HOKITIKA HARBOR BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Hokitika Harbour Board was held yes miday afternoon, there being present: Messrs Wild (chair), Norman, Mclntosh, McGregor, and Chapman. After disposing of a. quantify ui routine business it was resolved that the rate collector visit Kanieri, Rimu and Boss at an early date, and that all defaulters bo sued in the immediate future. Accounts to the amount of £362 were passed for payment, this includes £292 for interest and sinking fund on loan. An informal offer to purchase the Board’s donkey engine was declined. The Board expressed its appreciation of the manner Mr Cecil E. Sparks had met the demand for compensation for an accidental lire which nad spread to the old training wall on the south side of the river on January 7tli.
