For Substantial Amount
Auckland, March 29
The fact that a further war loan will be raised in the Dominion shortly was emphasised by the Hon' A. M.
Myers. “There can be little doubt,” said the Minister, “ that in view of the fact that our commitments are so heavy in regard to equipment and maintenance of troopß it will be neceisaty to obtain a funner war loan. In this connection I would like to point out that it is the duty of large institutions, as well ae firms and individuals, to put aside &3 much as possible so that when the new war loan prospectus is launched they will be in a position to do their duly and subscribe to the almost limit of their vailable resources.” Asked jf he could give an idea as to the amount that would be asked for. Mr Myers said ; “ The fact that our expenditure directly for war purposes approximates £1,000,000 per mon f h is, I think, sufficient indication that the sum required will be substantial. In anticipation, therefore, everyone can do his duty by endeavoring io place his financial resources in such a condition as to enable him to take a portion of tbe loaD,”
