Nelson, March 14 At the Sup-erne Court, Haiold George Holland, a hop grower, w&£ found guilty of supplying an ios rnmoat io Alioa Altai Green toi au unlawful purpose and unlawfully procuring the instrument for such purpose. On the third count of procuring a person unknown to use the instrument the jury was unable foagiee. In sentencing accused to three years’ imprisonment, Mr Justice Chapman said that a length of time hid lapsed before the operation. He thought lbs o c-e was very ucar being the highest crime known to law. Alice Alma Green was acquitted oa charges of unlawfully procuring tho instrument and permitting, at Wellington, the uss of the instrument upon herself. When Holland was nailed aa a Crown witness he declined to answer any question or to explain tba reason for his attitude remaining obstinate in spite of repeated warnings. The Judge sentenced him to eighteen months’imprisonment cumulative jn the previous sentence.
