Ratreat from Loubert Wood.
LONDON, March 14. Mr Phillip Gibbs writing from lieauqnartcrs on Bareli 13th says: The enemy has made another important. retreat from Loupart Wo oil, which we heavily bombarded.
Yesterday, to everybody’s surprise, it,he Germans surrfandered' the woou without any grat struggle and our men are now around Grevillers, wliem-e the Germans were driven, except a lew machines gun .teams and snipers. Loupert Wood was dominating tne position, givifig observation over a terrible cohoen-trattion of gun fire—great stretch of country, but our capture of Irles made that posiion untenable, and our terrible concentration or gun fire decided the enemy to retreat before being annihilated. The Germans are still holding Buequoy and; Ajeliitlegitit, but further south they are actually behind their last defensive system on Bapaum» ridge.
