(Australiaii & N.Z, Cable Association aud Renter). LONDON, March 14. General Haig reports:—Owing to our bombardment the enemy abandoned his main defence along the forward crest of the ridge westward 01 13apauinc on a three and a half miles’ front.
We drove back their rear guards in this area to tho depth of a mile, and occupied Grevillers and Loupart Wood, also we progressed eastward and northeastward of (Jommecourt on a frontage of a mile. (An enemy raiding party reaeliea our trenches south-west of Ncuve Chappolle and a few British are missing. Hostile raids elesewliere were repulsed.
