Destroyers Bombard MargateWellington, Feb 27 The High Commissioner reports, London 26tb, at 6 20 p,m.: In the House of Commons, Sir Edward Carson stated that the enemy destroyers had bombarded Broadstaira and Margate early this morning, A woman and a child were killed. The destroyers wore engaged but there were no British casualties and any enemy looses were not ascertained. The Destroyer Raid(Received Feb 27, at 11.30 a.m.) London, Feb 26 The Pre.u> Bureau states enemy destroyers approached the Kentish coast at 12,15 yesterday night oxd fired shells on the unfortified towns of Broadstair and Morgate. The firing lasted for ten minutes, but the material damage was alight. Two houses, one unoccupnd, were wrecked and ten others damaged. A woman and a child were killed and two childien reriously injured. Austria-Hungary Feeling. Zorich, Feb 26 An Austrian semi-official report admits the failure to renew the AustroHungarian compromise. It adds that a provisional agreement has been j reached, enabling ths governments to i engage in pourparlers with Germany i and other Powere, respecting an economic customs union.
